The bulk of this job was the felling/stump-grinding of a large Weeping willow (Salix babylonica) that was situated at the top of a rather perilous slope, near a railway line and overhead power cables (not too clear from the photo).
The job itself was fairly complicated with different rigging techniques being employed by Phil (Climbing Arborist), effects of leverage and shock loading of tree and gear was thoroughly worked through prior to starting, naturally full RAMS (Risk assessment & Method statement) were provided to out client before we started and the daily site RA carried out.
Our client could not believe how much material, in particular wood came from the tree, they kept some back from firewood but we removed the lions share.
